Fruit Desserts To Make – An Easy Approach

easy desserts to make

Easy desserts to make are a very popular topic on cookery forums. It’s a fact that some people love to bake and like making desserts, while other people find it a tiresome task. I am in the latter group. I like to experiment with new recipes and have baked everything from sponge cakes to rugs to chocolate chip cookies. It’s just that making deserts is something I tend to enjoy more than baking, which is funny because baking is what I do best of all!

Enjoy Baking

What do I enjoy most about baking? I’d say it’s all about the time involved. Even better, if I can take a piece of cake, turn it into a cookie and off I go. It’s almost like having an expert chef working in our kitchen all the time and even better because I get to choose the ingredients, so each time is a different treat!

So I was thrilled when I discovered these homemade Oreo cookies recipes. They came from a cooking show I follow on the satellite TV network. The hostess was showing off her favorite recipe, which used a combination of butter, cream cheese and sour cream. Since I have already tried several Oreo cookie recipes myself, I knew I had to try this one. Surprisingly it was a huge success, especially since it only used three ingredients!

The recipe calls for sour cream, but you may substitute yogurt or milk for the sour cream. You’ll need a medium-size cookie cutter, food coloring and a food processor, if you don’t already have one. The crust is optional, but if you’re a fan of easy desserts to make then I suggest preparing it separately from the rest of the recipe. In fact, I preferred the homemade Oreo cookie crust over the purchased frozen crust from the store. Again, the kids were thrilled with their fun desserts to make and they couldn’t have been happier with the results.

Traditional Cake Mix Recipe

Fruit Desserts

These easy desserts taste just like a traditional cake mix recipe. There’s no added sugar, so it’s low in calories. The kids also seemed to really enjoy making their own “bad” cakes. Although it called for a lot more effort than traditional baking, they didn’t seem to mind at all. I think they were looking forward to eating the “bad” cake next.

Give A Try To Cheese Cookies

If you haven’t tried making your own “cheese” cookies or “chocolate cake mix”, you should give it a try. I highly recommend having some fresh homemade fruit in the mix as well. The kids absolutely loved the dessert and I’m sure yours will be just as happy. These easy desserts to make are a terrific activity for families to do together. Your children will learn how to combine ingredients and will feel as though they are helping to create something delicious.

Summing Up

The most popular “easy dessert” recipe on the internet is Fudgy Toffee. You can make this delicious and fudgy drink in less than 15 minutes using a funnel. All you have to do is melt some coffee concentrate, add some fudge and mix in the coffee. If you don’t care too much about the coffee taste, you can also add some marshmallows to the mix. This is definitely an easy dessert recipe that the whole family will love.
