  • A beaten egg;

  • 100 grams of caster sugar;

Preparation Method:

  • Firstly, rub the butter you have into the flour in a bowl. Continue this process until you have bread crumbs.
  • Secondly, stir in festive spice, beaten egg, caster sugar, cream, and honey. Continue this stirring process until you get a soft dough. Moreover, cling this dough in a cling film and set it to chill for about 20 to 30 minutes.

These biscuits can be prepared in 1 hour. However, they can be cooked in 14 minutes.


  • 1 tablespoon vanilla;
  • 1 beaten egg;
  • 125 grams of butter;
  • 250 grams of plain flour.

For Decoration Purpose:

  • Icing sugar;
  • Readymade pack of ready to roll colorful icing;
  • 400 grams of fondant icing;
  • Tube black icing.

Preparation Method:

  • Firstly, heat the oven to 190 degree Celsius. Next, cream the sugar and butter together until it becomes fluffy and pale. Now beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  • Secondly, stir the flour and mix to form soft dough. Knead gently and put the dough on a plate. Cover the dough and chill it for about 2 hours.
  • Take a lightly floured surface and roll out your dough to get a thickness of about 0.5 cm. Make use of the cookies cutter for stamping out 7 cm rounds. You can re-roll the trimmings and repeat the steps.
  • Now transfer the biscuits to a two baking tray set and bake them for about 8 to 14 minutes. These biscuits should turn brown.
  • Leave them to cool down a bit. For decoration purpose, roll out the white colored fondant icing on a surface which is dusted with icing sugar. Make use of the cookies cutter, cut out 7 cm circles.
  • Moreover, knead together yellow and blue colored icing in order to make green colored icing. Make sure to roll out one icing color at one time. After you stamp out a 7 cm width circle, cut the icing in half and stick it on a hat.
  • Repeat this process with all biscuits. You can finally decorate all the hats with the help of spots and stripes.
