On adding this powder to a mixture, it becomes crispy and fluffy. Otherwise, the dough won’t rise and will become hard. This will leave it bad and not edible. Thus proper use of baking powder is essential. Also adding too much of this ingredient will break the item while baking. The thing you are cooking will become shapeless. Using other acids along with it, will spoil your mixture. So if there is a necessity to use this powder along with any other acid as ingredients, you should reduce its quantity.

Bakers use more of this in cake and a less quantity for cookies. Pastries, eclairs, doughnuts all are made using this. It is an essential ingredient for making all baking items. Thus for a solution to acidity take a glass of cold water then add a teaspoon of baking soda and drink. You can use it as a mouthwash and for whitening your teeth. Brushing your teeth with baking soda and warm water whitens your teeth and freshens breath. Baking soda bath is a relief for itchy skin and sunburns. Thus it has many uses.
