  • Three ripe banana, chopped
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup 100 gm olive oil
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/ cup chocolate chip
  • pinch of salt
  • nuts of choice (optional)


Step 1: Basic Preparations

  • Grease the cake pan and set aside.
  • Also, preheat your oven at 356 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2: Make The Batter

  • In a meanwhile, begin preparing the batter for your cake.
  • For this, beat bananas and sugar in a large bowl using the hand mixer or using the paddle attachment of your stand mixer.
  • Now add olive oil, yogurt, and vanilla extract in the banana mash.
  • Then sieve all-purpose flour, baking powder, tsp baking soda, cinnamon powder and a pinch of salt in another bowl. Note: Make sure there are no lumps left in the mixture.
  • Combine these dry ingredients into the wet ingredient and mix well.
  • Now add a chocolate chip and fold smoothly. Chocolate chips give an awesome taste to the eggless banana cake.

Step 3: Bake The Cake

  • Pour the cake batter to the cake pan.
  • Tab the pan twice to remove any air incorporated into the cake batter.
  • Now deck up the cake with some more chocolate chips. Tip: If you like, at this stage you can also add some nuts of your choice along with chocolate chips.
  • Put the cake pan into the preheated oven to bake the cake for around 50 minutes. Tip: Insert a toothpick in the center of the cake to check; if it is done well, the toothpick will come clean.
  • Once one, keep the cake aside to cool thoroughly.

Step 4: Serve

  • Afterward, cut the cake into slices and savor with your morning or evening tea.
  • You can serve this eggless banana cake instantly or store it in an airtight container to eat later.
