5 Classic Cocktail Recipes To Order At A Bar

Cocktail never gets old and never goes out of style. If you have been sipping classic cocktails for a while, it’s time to taste it in 6 different ways. Today I am gonna show you 6 classic cocktail recipes that you can order at a bar. Whether you are alone, or with your new date, these cocktail shots are one of the must-things-to-try in life.

1-Old Fashioned

Your bartender simply knows what kind of drinks will make you happy. And if you want to order an Old Fashioned, there is nothing to think twice. The recipe is also very simple-

  • 2 oz bourbon or rye whiskey
  • Angostura bitters 2 dashes
  • 1 sugar cube/ 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Orange twist garnish

Just put the sugar cube or sugar in a glass, pour dashes of bitters, add whiskey and keep stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then add some ice cubes and stir again. Try to make it at home if you have a small get together at evening.

2- Margarita

The margarita mixes are always sweet and enjoyable and the fresh version of this drink is the mixture of lime juice and tequila with a little bit hint of sweetener.

  • Silver tequila- 2 oz
  • Cointreau- 1 oz
  • Lime juice- 1oz
  • Salt for the rim

You should shake this mixture well and serve with ice in a glass with a salted rim.

3- Cosmopolitan

Cosmo became famous since it appeared in Sex and the City in the 90s. However, it remains tasty and luxurious just the same. You can refer to these ingredients to make the Cosmopolitan recipe.

  • Citrus vodka-1.5 oz
  • Cointreau- 1 oz
  • .5 oz lime juice
  • .25 oz -cranberry juice

Place all ingredients in a shaker tine with ice and shake. Better off, use a martini glass and garnish the ingredients with a lime wheel or zest.


Negroni is simple and loved by almost every bartender because it is easy to make. You only need 1 oz gin, 1 oz Campari, 1 oz sweet vermouth and mix all these ingredients with ice. Your cocktail drink is ready!

5-Moscow Mule

Moscow Mule is popular and a refreshing drink that you can enjoy on a summer day. Mostly served in a vessel or a copper mug, this drink is a favorite of many people.

  • Vodka- 2oz
  • Ginger beer- 4-6 oz
  • Lime juice- .5 oz

Squeeze some lime juice into a Moscow Mule mug then add three or four ice cubes. Pour your vodka and ginger beer on it and stir well before serving.


Mojito is rum-based, refreshing, Cuba originated, filled with mint and lime. It is the perfect drink that you can sip on a pool party and by beaches. If you are looking for something refreshing and enjoyable, you must enjoy this drink with your friends.

  • 3 mint leaves
  • 2 oz white rum
  • .5 oz simple syrup
  • .75 oz lime juice

Mix mint leaves into a shaker tin and adds some ice and all the other ingredients. Shake them well and pour it into a highball glass with ice. If you want, you can also combine club soda and mint on to of it.
